It was November, the days were cold and gradually the shows and car events generally were drawing to a close for the year (car people are definitely fair-weather people) however, on the morning of the 6th we were up bright and early for a quick jaunt down to Poole, Dorset, for the Driven 247 meet!
Millie the Mini hadn't been out much since the summer so she was the vehicle of choice. we packed the bags and trundled down for a little Saturday adventure. The journey from Salisbury down to Poole is a lovely one with a fair bit spent going through the New Forest national Park and surrounding areas. It is also a route Jake is very familiar with after spending his college years studying in Poole. After a little stop off it took us just over an hour to get down to the meet location at Rivo's Hub.
Rivo's Hub is located in Hamworthy, just outside of Poole in a small industrial estate. The hub itself is relatively new to the area, having only been opened in the last year. As you can see from the photos, the place itself is still quite basic, but has so much potential! It does however have a very welcoming and inviting feel and some great people behind the whole operation. We have already made plans to try and get back again in 2022 as I am sure as time goes on they will go on to achieve great things!
The Driven 247 channel and car brand is ever growing in popularity and run by the lovely Amber. Jake has been to a few of Ambers meets now and each time there has been a bigger and wider variety of cars (and an ever expanding range of merchandise which you can also buy here) which is great to see! The turn out was amazing with around 30 cars showing up throughout the day, each different and each owned by someone willing to have a chat about their car and it's history! Below you can find a selection of just some of the cars, including our very own Millie, that were there on the day.
Although by November, generally shows, meets and events are drawing to a close for the year, we are already excited for those to come in the future, hey, maybe we might even be able to hold our own one day. Only time will tell!
Thank you to Amber for holding and organising the event, to Rivo's Hub for hosting, to everyone else for turning up to make the event a success and most importantly, to you, for taking the time to read and follow us on this journey!
We hope you enjoyed this summary of our day, you can watch Jake's far more detailed video of the day here. But for now, thank you for reading, speak soon!
